The system that Davon Marine Products developed seems fine. However, hull attachment, for a flat transom, won't work well. The rest of the setup, block and tackle, struts, etc. were not particularly unique.
Siltala added the option of a stern platform with the new NC33, the NC331. It has two attachment points mounted on the hull above the water line. It also includes a hull mounted stern ladder, see the nearby picture. I copied that approach, with the struts replacing the platform.
The adjacent picture shows the sytem in use and supporting the inflatable at the stern of the NC33. There are foldable mast steps centered on the stern that serve as ladder. You can expand the pictures by right clicking and 'view image.'
The picture of the NC33 anchored in Taschereau Bay has the transom of the inflatable lifted by the 'dingy tow' setup.
Subsequently the dingy was upgraded to a Walker Bay 285ST, a 9'7" hard bottom dingy with side tubes. This was used with the 'dingy tow' on a subsequent trip (and return) from Lake Erie to the North Channel.
